One thing to notice and revisit

If you come across Poecile atricapillus and can identify it, watch from where you are for two minutes. Note what it picks up, then revisit and compare. Research reports it eating Lymantria dispar; that does not predict what you will see.

Reference: Notice what Poecile atricapillus picks up. Date: Source event date 1985-06-01; reference retrieved 2026-09-07. Published study context. Neither organism nor this feeding interaction is confirmed here.

Your observation and next visit

Add what you noticed yourself, including where you looked. These notes stay in this browser on this device. They are separate from the published record and are not verified by Rewyld.

On your next visit, look again and add a new dated note. Clearing browser data removes these notes.

A five-minute walk, if you want one

  1. 1

Before you start walking, stand still for three slow breaths. Let the hurry you carried here settle. There is no distance to cover.

  2. 2

Begin to walk, slower than usual. Feel each foot meet the ground. When your attention drifts, and it will, bring it back to the next step.

  3. 3

For the last minute, lift your eyes. Take in one thing you had not noticed: the light, a tree, the air on your face. Carry the pace, not just the moment, back with you.
