Orionid meteor shower 2027
Up to 20 meteors an hour under dark skies, best after midnight.
Peaks on Thursday 21 October at 6:00 am UTC.
How to see it
- Best after midnight, on the night of the peak and the nights either side.
- Meteors seem to come from the southeast, but they can appear anywhere in the sky.
- The moon is not full that week, so a dark spot away from lights will show the most.
