Geminid meteor shower 2026
Up to 120 meteors an hour under dark skies, best from late evening through dawn.
Peaks on Monday 14 December at 7:00 am UTC.
How to see it
- Best from late evening through dawn, on the night of the peak and the nights either side.
- Meteors seem to come from the east-northeast, but they can appear anywhere in the sky.
- The moon is not full that week, so a dark spot away from lights will show the most.
